*Four Stars*

With a blend of magic, murder, mystery, and history, The Magician's Lie was an excellent read. I loved the telling of Ada's life story, especially her time at the Biltmore and becoming a magician. A successful and savvy businesswoman in 1900 is exciting to read about. Ray seems a little over the top in the crazy department, but I guess all good villains go that way. The ending was slightly predictable but the story was enjoyable so it wasn't a letdown.
Overall, I'd recommend this to our patrons. Especially fans of magic and historical fiction.
